Okay..this episode was inspired by the Burt Lancaster film THE KILLERS based on the short story by Ernest Hemingway.

Jack will do the sketch three different times.

Once with Edward G. Robinson in 1948
Again with Richard Widmark in 1950 (I'll be uploading that one in a second) Just look for "The Killers" with Richard Widmark
And the last time will be the one with Dan Duryea

The Jack Benny Show was one of the greatest radio or tv shows ever, an The Lunch Counter Murder shows it. Dennis Day is the best, very funny. Mr. Benny knew what he was doing. It is a lot Of fun!

What's the guy below talking about? That's not Richard Widmark...that's Dan Duryea. FYI: On the radio broadcast of this sitcom, Edward G. Robinson played the part with Dennis Day. Very funny too.

The sketch in this show is based on a Jack Benny radio episode of 12 November 1950 with Richard Widmark hamming it up in the Dan Duryea role.

Iris Adrian is uncreditted as the voice on the phone.

Dick Kallman, who plays the teenaged sockhopper with the girl-friend (also uncreditted), trained in an actors' studio run by Lucille Ball.

Subject: Fantabulous!
Fantabulous episode of the popular sitcom "The Jack Benny Program". This episode orginally aired 4 December 1960 on the CBS Television Network, Up against "The Dinah Shore Chevy Show" on NBC, and "The Islanders" on ABC. This is a very funny episode, Worth watching. Do note this is a syndication print, But still runs at 25 minutes, So the comedy is largely intact.
